Travel to south africa
When travelling to South Africa you need a valid
passport. Your passport needs to be valid for at least 6 months after your date
of arrival in South Africa. Your passport needs to have at least 3 blank
(unstamped) pages remaining. For Americans, Germans and Canadians you do not
require a visa only a passport.
When flying with
children to South Africa you will require some additional paperwork, please
make sure you meet all the legal South African requirements when flying with a
minor. Find the link in the footer below.
We suggest that you
consider booking your flights to South Africa as soon as you have received
confirmation of your safari, since flights are usually crowded during the
hunting season, and costs do fluctuate closer to the date of departure.
Travel to Mozambique
When travelling to Mozambique it is important to
note that a visa for Mozambique is required by all foreign citizens. You need a
valid passport with an expiry date of at least 6 months after your arrival date
in Mozambique. Your passport needs to have at least 3 blank (unstamped) pages
remaining.
The cost of a
Mozambican visa is roughly US$100 and the visa must be applied for prior to
departure from your nearest Mozambican Consulate.
Dependant on your
time of arrival in Johannesburg you may need to sleep over for one night in
Johannesburg before flying out the next morning to Mozambique, due to the
landing times of the flights from the US.
If so, we highly
recommend using Africa Sky Guest House. This beautiful guest house is situated
close to O.R Tambo airport and has shuttles to collect you and drop you off the
following morning.
Once you arrive in
Mozambique a large majority of your travel will be done in comfortable 4×4
vehicles.

We highly recommend that you take out
both medical and travel insurance before your departure to both South Africa

unfortunately happen, and when they do, we recommend to our clients to use
Global Rescue. Global Rescue is the worlds’ leading rescue organisation,
providing integrated medical and security travel risk and crisis response to
our travellers worldwide. Global Rescue is the only company that will conduct
field rescue, no matter how remote, which is advisable in remote areas such as
where we conduct our safaris in Mozambique.
